It’s been a while…

Whew, I’ve been busy lately.  We spent January 21 to March 1 moving.  Our landlord decided to sell the house, so it was on short notice.  Anyway, our internet was down for a while because, when we moved, we switched internet providers.  But on to today’s real post…
MGM’s last great musical?  Really?
Several weeks ago, almost [...]

Happy new year folks.  I haven’t blogged in a while, have I?  Anyway, here’s something I meant to write back in November, back when all the shows were doing ratings stunts.  Anyway, just a review of all the shows I’ve been watching during the 2008-09 television season.  They’re done in the order they’re showed in [...]

I have a habit of getting into things significantly after they’ve ended.  In this case, it really only ended last month, technically, but I think episodes were leaked out before then, so I’m probably a couple months late, at least.  What I am talking about is Avatar: The Last Airbender.  OK, I first saw the [...]

Coincidence?

A while back, I noticed something strange.  Sarah Chalke is on a commercial for Hanes panties, and Zach Braff voices the Cottonelle (toilet paper) puppy.  See a theme?  I haven’t seen any other Scrubs cast members in commercials recently, but Scrubs’ eighth and (probably) final season will air on ABC for the 08-09 season.  There’s [...]

My relatives are leaving early tomorrow morning, and I’m not sure what we’re going to do with all the extra Coke.  My aunt is addicted to Coca-Cola, but none of us drink it, and she bought a ton of it when she first came here.
Mini-golf and the Arcade
Today we went out to play mini-golf.  I [...]

August 18th (?!)

Once again, I am extremely tired.  Today, we went to the mall.  I am outraged that my favorite smoothie store has been replaced by a menswear store with an unpronounceable name.  As a Dillard’s store manager, my aunt said that the Macy’s here is not well maintained enough, and that it would be much more [...]

Variety Post

It seems that I have a severe case of Procrastinating Blogger Syndrome.  Oh well.  What I meant to say yesterday about the most recent Death Note was that it was really cheesy.  L’s death was a really poignant scene in the manga, so Saturday’s episode was kind of a disappointment.  The school bells, the rain, [...]

Excuse Me…

I have decided not to put any more episode summaries on this blog.  It is now only for reviews and random stuff.  The reason: I’m just really sick of summarizing episodes.
But anyway, is it just me, or is the animation in Death Note kind of…wishy-washy?  It started out really good, but sometimes, it gets kinda [...]

Today I’ll keep it short.  So, these two episodes focused on the second Kira.  In episode 12, L invites Light to help the investigation team catch Kira.  Light gladly accepts.  L shows him the tapes from the second Kira and Light deduces on his own that they were the work of a second Kira.  Of [...]

I have nothing to say.  I guess it turned out pretty predictably.  At least Sixwire didn’t win…  Still, a lot of bands, like Dot Dot Dot and Franklin Bridge, got eliminated way too early.  If this comes back for a second season and I decide to watch it, i probably won’t blog about it.

In this episode, the judges just picked whatever songs they thought suited the bands.  At the end of the episode, they each got to play their own song.
Denver has made it to the top 3.  At least one good band made it.
At one point in the show, Rzeznik tells the Clark Brothers that every woman [...]

Yet another double-post.  Also, I started reading the Death Note manga.  So far, I’ve read the first four volumes.
Anyhoo, onto episode 8:
In this episode, L and co. set up cameras in two police officers houses to see if anyone in their families could be a suspect.  One of the suspects is Light, of course.  Light [...]

Queen night (yay!)
No one did “Killer Queen” or “Bohemian Rhapsody”, though.
I’m beginning to feel angry about Sixwire still being in.  They’re sooooo boooooring.  What are the housewives of America thinking?
Even more inexplicably, Light of Doom still lives.  And Dot Dot Dot got eliminated.  Theres something wrong with that.  Oh well, at least Denver’s still in.  [...]

These episodes were both about the same thing, so I grouped them together.
Light meets a woman who thinks that Kira can kill people using methods other than heart attacks.   She also happens to be Raye Penber’s girlfriend.  Obviously, this worries Light.  When he tells her his father is a policeman and that she [...]
