As you may know, Brisingr, the latest book in the Inheritance Cycle, was released last Saturday. I had half a mind to got to the release party at Kepler’s just to get some free donuts, but i doubt I’d have been allowed any donuts, seeing as I don’t even want the book. A few days after its release, I heard the latest plot twist being discussed at school: Brom is Eragon’s dad! I can’t say I saw that coming, but I’m not especially shocked. That could just be because I don’t really care, though. Anyway, I only got halfway through the second book in the series, and my memory is a bit hazy, but Eragon’s mom hasn’t been revealed yet, right? It got me thinking, would it be cool if Eragon’s mom turned out to be Arya? That would be very disturbing, but interesting nonetheless. I mean, she may look like she’s in her twenties, but she’s 50 at the very least. Though we’ve been told Eragon wasn’t born a half-elf (He becomes one later, though, doesn’t he? Or something like that?)it would certainly explain how he can learn things so darn fast. Anyway, I doubt Paolini would do something like that, but it would be pretty cool.
